    aniara Open fire looks so well on photos/drawings. For real life tortures it is too unreliable in its results. Heated objects are much more useful. We do not want to produce nasty burns, we want to produce suffering.

    Medically you can make a case, that a lot of this is in fact curable illness. It mostly opens up questions about the definitions of illness.
    Philosophically it’s mostly a game of edge cases. Probably the easiest part. But when was philosophy ever directly relevant for society?
