Not only is it an excellent narrative, very well written, with rhythm and intensity. I like historical stories, narration in an environment that gives life to the characters and, therefore, meaning to their death. The descriptions are fantastic, both of the actions and the emotions, of the emotional struggle, of the sex, of the surrender and of the death. That the victim is the one who describes what happens to her body, as if she could not let go of it and, in some way, sent her final message from the grave, is something unusual and very intense. A very good story set in medieval times of a husband and wife caught up in a Freedom fighters' cause, the wife very reluctantly. A very good read, nicely descriptive, and with a good pace.
