Thoughts of suicide got connected to thoughts of sexuality in your brain as you were growing, likely because of the things you were exposed to and thinking about at that time. It is perfectly possible to have fantasies for things that in real life would make no sense. I would add, though, that what is important is being able to think about and remember it; and going through with something that kills you ends that.
